U.S. oil prices are set to finish 2022 with their largest two-year increase since 2010, according to Dow Jones Market Data. Futures contracts for U.S. crude closed Thursday at $78.40 a barrel, up $29.88 over the past two years. They have since ticked higher in Friday morning trading. Nearly all of the gains came in 2021, as skyrocketing oil prices after Russia's February invasion of Ukraine have since come back to earth in recent months.
