One of the biggest changes in the world economy happening now is CBDC (central bank digital currency). Russia and India are working on a trade system that does not include the U.S. dollar.
China is rapidly developing their CBDC.
The U.S. government has printed an incredible amount of money in the last few years and they have not spent it in responsible ways.
All of these things are putting pressure on the world banks, plus a myriad of other developing situations.
It’s not entirely out of the question that the world banks lose an amount of their significance in 2023 and digital currencies absorb what may have been lost.
But this also causes potential for great volatility in various areas so I’m being pretty cautious right now.
