This transaction should and will be cancelled by the brokerage firm. It is an obvious mistake and should be cancelled or filled at the reasonable ask or bid price depending on what was intended at the time the individual sent his/her order. I did the same mistake with cesy a while back and after it was executed, i realised I left out one decimal place. Etrade immediately contacted the mm and I was given a choice of having the trade cancelled or filled at the price with the right decimal places. I opted the fill with the right decimal places. In fact etrade said the mm should not have filled me at the incorrect price at all or filled me at the ask price as my order was a buy.
