I have a very special feeling
for Kenny Vaughan. I hired him for his first
professional recording session. He was nineteen.
When they came to town a year ago September, We arranged
to get together after about 50 years. I told him that I was damn
glad to see that he'd "made something of himself."
Joking aside, he's one of three, maybe four players, that have really impressed
me with their ability to play anything, any time, for love, or money..That's not as easy
as it may sound.
