The complaint that crypto is designed to track consumers spending and control their movements is like huh?
What do people think the phone in their pocket and debit card in their wallet are?

What matters is having a balanced system that allows for both parties, consumer and vendor, to be able to negotiate terms that inflict minimal unwanted consequences imo. Just like the internet is used for bad and good things, if a decent system is built blockchain will be very much the same.
