BUT... its also possible that the lines in question (the lines in the road behind the pic of the lockbox) LOOK white because, well, they ARE white.

There are no lines in the road "behind" the pic of the lock box. The lines you are seeing are on the road north of the property and being reflected in the windows of the facility "behind" the lock box. Windows often act like mirrors (some more so than others, depending on the types of coatings, and light conditions). They also cause color shifts! Notice the bush in the picture (1) and the reflected image of the bush in the window (2), pretty big color shift. Distance and angle of items being reflected in windows will also effect color shift, size, and distortion of images. You can also see one of the vertical window frame bars. This would not be present if you were truly looking into a road behind the lock box! I have shown images of the dual yellow lines of the road and the "white-ish appearance when viewed from a Google camera in reflection and shades .. They are yellow!! Hope this clears it up!
