I'd taken the will not be quoted thing to indicate they were going to toss it onto the grey market where everyone flies blind and stocks go to die. The U3 halt was the right outcome. It is interesting how many folks wanted to foist their stock onto someone else to "buy and hold."

And despite all the hoopla, the short interest in this stock was small. I saw the typical post about the meaningless short volume equating that to new short positions, but it isn't.
