I agree with your assessments. Feel that there are better ways finance than issuing an exorbitant number of shares to do business. There are other means. SBA offers loans to small business. I just think that CEOs do not think of the impact dilution does to retail investors. Heck, try something new and offer shares to retail investors to raise capital, yes, I know; it is not legal.

"Loans guaranteed by SBA range from small to large and can be used for most business purposes, including long-term fixed assets and operating capital. Some loan programs set restrictions on how you can use the funds, so check with an SBA-approved lender when requesting a loan."

What kind of financing does Walmart offer suppliers?
Five financing options can help Walmart suppliers. Purchase order financing (option B) is specific to companies that sell products. Invoice factoring, asset-based loans, and lines of credit (options A, D, and E, respectively) can be used by companies that sell either products or services.
I believe that the Kroger, Safeway, Piggly Wiggly, HEB, will offer similar loan programs and even that an enterprising small business could negotiating payment of loans with product AND/OR participation of the venture. I recall when there was a program that large corporation would mentor a small business but that was a long time ago and do not have current knowledge since, I have not been active in the business for over 10 years.

That said there are always risks to borrowers who do not do their homework, surprise, just like in buying stocks, especially pink sheet ones. Read:
