this is really something...Beneficial Power is currently developing a dozen projects for generation of over 1 GW of solar power and 300 MW of power storage, which may be broken down as follows, in terms of revenue...

Based on the cost of residential solar systems, $2.50 per watt. ($2 per watt after tax credits.)

so a 1gw commercial solar farm would cost somewhere between $2-$2.5 billion.

Now, depending on area the farm will generate between 2.5–6MWH per day, (average 4)

That is 900–1400–2100 GWH per year, depending on US location. On average, the WHOLESALE price of electricity is about 10 cents per KWH in the USA. That means that 1GW solar farm generates $90 billion, $140 billion, or $210 billion.


not sure how much the 300 MW of power storage would generate, but it is probably significant
