It's a possibility. You mention pressured. I would think more like owed a favor in the future. Maybe an appointment to a higher Court down the road or a favor for her kids when they need a big job.

Another possible theory is that the CEO of Netflix was poached from Activision. Obama had a deal going with Netflix. Activision sued Netflix for stealing their CEO. Obama appointed Judge Casper, who was the District Judge in the WDDD case. Maybe a backroom deal was cut to make the WDDD lawsuit go away and then Activision would quietly back off the Netflix lawsuit.

Also, a possibility which was discussed here years ago (and many laughed at it then, but are not laughing now). This is how deals are done at that level and the general public has no idea.
