The pilot sounded to me to be stressed out by 'archaic travel restrictions' on his route and conflicted by a vax mandate from his airline.

Notwithstanding his claims for his own robustness I assess his state as VERY stressed.

So reluctantly, resentfully, and perhaps seethingly, he gets the vax and then the afib. Association is not causation, but we don't know enough about other associations he may have brought to the table.

That said, I'm going with stress and, especially, anger.

Possible causes of an arrhythmia
