Why wouldn't it suit the need of the designer to see how the blend will hang on a model?
The silk is the same other than in toughness. That toughness is the selling gimmick for the brand.
It's the fiber blend that matters in the sample.

Drop and go applying to our raw silk is the only place it needs to apply since our raw silk is the replacing fiber.
Every operation our silk goes through is identical to mundane silk.
