Thanks, Meatloaf. If I partially open the box and take my cursor off the magic corner, I can't go back and resize the compose box. So it's either all (with the initial resizing move) or the obscured view that can't be changed if I stop midway. Weird. This is for PMs only.

My solution... don't play with the box. <g>
