great stuff. The first photo has me wondering where it was taken. I am a fair to middling birder and I do not recognize that species without going to a bird book. My only guess is a brant, but as an old waterfowl hunter as a kid, it is not something I ever saw in the plains to the west in the US. Where is birdguy when we need him?
