There are two ways to get quoted on the OTCBB exchange- direct registration or reverse merger. The short answer is that you can get a direct registration done for under $75K and for a reverse merger you will have around $50K in direct costs plus the cost to acquire a public vehicle (shell) with which to merge your private company. Shells can cost anywhere between $250K to $700K (in better market environments). A key factor to keep in mind in a reverse merger is that you can pay more or less depending on the percentage of the shell you expect to control after the reverse merger. For example, you may pay $100K for a public shell, but only receive 80% of the outstanding shares in the transaction. The owners of the shell are holding back some stock which may motivate them to take a lower cash price.
Finally:
Direct registration is between $50K and $75K
Reverse merger with 90% retention of outstanding shares will run you around $300K to $400K.
