Tank Transporter Vervaeke orders Hyzon Hydrogen Truck
Vervaeke, the Belgian major player in tank transport for the chemical and petrochemical sector, has ordered his first electric truck on hydrogen. This is a hyzon, with which Vervaeke wants to achieve 100 percent CO2-neutral transport.
Since the new truck only emissions water vapor emissions instead of carbon emissions, it stands for zero emissions. Moreover, he makes rapid acceleration possible, which results in safely and maneuvering. While a smooth and almost silent ride enables drivers to concentrate on the road and means an important reduction in noise nuisance, says Vervaeke in a statement.
This purchase is part of the more intensive pursuit of sustainable transport, in close collaboration between Vervaeke and one of its largest customers. She comes on top of the continuous investments of Vervaeke in the most modern equipment, the most efficient engines, partnerships with customers in environmentally friendly projects and well -trained drivers. This transition to a climate -neutral fuel does not mean that concessions are made to the high service standards of the company in terms of safety, load capacity and distances.
Moreover, this Vervaeke project will allow an important experience and knowledge to gain about the use of this new hydrogen technology. Vervaeke's intention is to train its technology in this specific technology, so that they can carry out the maintenance of its own fleet, as Vervaeke has always done and still does.
