Veritas77, your point is taken but you need to be reminded that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and, Jacob either himself or through orders to his followers killed men, women, and children because of the same reasons you've mentioned as well as ordering the women to be taken as slaves. Was that murder because God ordered it ? or is it murder only when a god from a different religion orders it ?

You mention a dark side to the islamic religion (and I agree) but there's also a dark side to christianity and the crusades was one of them. They slaughtered the islamics and drove them out of the Holy land and prevented them from taking it over when it was theirs to begin with.
