The main complaint here is there is a larger than reported short position. Through legalized loopholes in reporting all of the shorts, the broker/dealers are hiding a lucrative share loaning program.
As long as the shorts don't cover, the income from loaning the shares will continue. The very deep pockets, like a casino, have an advantage against the little guy. They will use anything in their power to keep the tables tilted in their favor. That is why there are complaints.
I think PLYCF has the business model, revenues and profits that is reaching critical mass to tilt the tables against the shorts. The result will be more shareholders buying the stock, and the shorts will have to buyin. The float will shrink and the stock will go up.
