if you live in the US you can use GNCP as a tax loss without ron closing GNCP down. you can declare gncp worthless (anybody can't argue otherwise) and take the loss on your tax return. if GNCP makes a comeback then you take the gain and have a zero basis on the tax return in the year of disposition.
