Flubug, the problem isn't a lack of oil here. Many leases even went unbid on. What we have is a drastic shortage of refinery capacity, and all the oil being put on the world market for open bidding. Americans get no discount or special pricing from American oil companies. They Keystone pipeline is for getting Canadian oil to Texas so it can be shipped wherever the highest bidder for it, wants it. Yes, our tech will help that and make us money, but the oil isn't coming here for Us, just to the closest port so it can be more easily shipped elsewhere. If we bid high enough, we can buy it. But we still have a big discrepancy in our ability to Refine it! We've shut down a few refineries and I don't know of any being built, and the ones we have are mostly located in areas prone to hurricane damage, like the Houston area and in Louisiana. We have oil. We ship oil overseas. Keystone helps Canada ship oil overseas.
