ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 26 -- United States Patent no. 11,478,196, issued on Oct. 25, was assigned to G-MEDICAL INNOVATIONS HOLDINGS LTD (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands).

"Jacket for medical module" was invented by Nir Geva (Ness Ziona, Israel).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A jacket that includes a first portion, a second portion, and an interface. The interface is movably coupled to the first portion and the second portion. The first portion comprises multiple medical modules. The multiple medical modules include at least one medical sensor and a physiological signal conduit for transferring a physiological signal from an inner side of the first portion to an exterior side of the first portion. The first and second portions are configured to be detachably coupled to a mobile phone. When the jacket is at a closed position then the first portion, the second portion and the interface define an inner space that is configured to receive the mobile phone and the first and second portions contact opposite sides of the mobile phone. When the jacket is at an open position, then only one of the first and second portions contacts the mobile phone."

The patent was filed on Aug. 22, 2017, under Application No. 16/325,391.
