Yes, the NY Times comment can be seen as funny, I'll grant you that, any comment section can be viewed likewise.

But there's a level of vitriolic rhetoric, and calls for violence in the Breitbart comment section that's clearly unhinged, and unmatched in other media comment sections.

If you can't see that, well, I'd advise you to not apply for a position as an astute observer of the obvious anywhere.
