I must confess, I do love Canada. My infatuation began with a trip as a teenager to Expo 86 in British Columbia. Then many years later in Afghanistan this Canadian Special Forces guy had me take a photo of him for his kids back home. We parted ways with him telling me he wanted Bin Laden’s head on a stick.

And then there have been my many trips North. I love the voices. The simplicity of sitting in a Tim Hortons having a black coffee.

And the Mountains. My God the amazing mountains.

And that ferry ride to Vancouver Island and back.

But unfortunately no, my wife is not Canadian. It’s okay, no one is perfect.
