but HYMC is not the standard.

Let me give you an example how this works.
Lets say You and Me have our own company and we are both mining for Gold. <-- Gold is the standard. We are mining the same thing.

Then My Company is not doing so well but your company is doing well in mining the Gold. in term of HYMC, they are "just a company" mining the gold like any other company out there that is mining gold and are doing better. We are talking about HYMC as a company and not the Gold it self. The Gold standard may be doing great but that doesn't mean that the company who is mining Gold will be doing great because they are just a company.
