I think the right wingers' wet dream is that there will be info on the laptop that confirms the Ukraine government was corrupt, thereby justifying Dear Leader's attempt to withhold weaponry already approved by Congress. Which wouldn't have helped Putin at all, no sir.

And somehow it will show that the Russian meddling in the 2016 was fake news. It will be additionally horrible because it will prove that Hunter's corruption far exceeded that of any other politician's kids, it will put to shame the $600M that Javanka made during the Obese One's term.

It doesn't matter what they find because the R's will lie on television about what's on the laptop and their non-reading base will believe it and be incentivized to vote for them in the midterms.

Maybe the base will come out to vote, anyway, because they don't like the way Biden is handling the economy. And as wing nuts like Conix make abundantly clear, they don't even need to be able to have an explanation about how he's not handling it well.
