Jaca-1 Well Drilling Result

Having the National Petroleum Agency of São Tomé and Principe (ANP-STP), Galp STP And Shell Sao Tome and Principe announced the conclusion safely, on the 30th of July 2022, from the Jaca-1 well in Block 6 of the São Tomé Exclusive Economic Zone andPrincipe (ZEE);

Considering that the primary objective of the drilling was the age of the Turonian and theTotal depth reached was 5638 meters TVD (True Vertical Depth);

Considering that form collected samples during drilling for analysis Laboratory;

In this sense, the ANP-STP makes public the following:

1. The Gal/Shell consortium confirms that the drilling operations of the Jaca well Were carried out safely and in accordance with the plan;

2. Jaca confirmed the existence of an "Active Petroleum System", but the Initial results indicate that there is no evidence that the prospectus has a Recoverable potential large enough to be commercial;

3. This result, considered a "Technical Success" is very encouraging and the focus Now it is to continue to evaluate the new data collected from the Block so that we can Define the next steps.

Jaca-1 is the first exploratory well in Block 6 of the ZEE and was drilled by the probe ship Maersk's Voyager.

About Block 6

The Production Sharing Agreement (CPP) for Block 6 was concluded in 2015 and Is in Phase Il of the Research Period. The consortium is composed of Galp STP (Operator) with 45% of participatory interests, Shell STP with 45% of interests and the ANP-STP, representing the State, with 10% of participatory interests.
