I'm sure the other mainstream brokers will follow suit. I certainly wont be buying any more 'F' stocks, $44 bucks + commission per trade is crazy. Be interesting to see if there is a drop off in dollar volume in the OTC after that, given that a big chunk of total volume in the OTC is foreign tickers.
You always see folks on Twitter, who thinks the OTC is 'poppin' when all they look at is total dollar volume, they dont realize a huge % of that is foreign stocks, the amount of new foreign additions every months is nuts....they are taking over the OTC...but these new fees could potentially cool that off.
I never really cared for them anyway, I had one the other day I dumped where I screwed up the US dollar to their currency conversion. I though I was getting a good deal, @ $2.00, and it was trading at $35 dollars, when in reality it was trading @ .35 cents on the foreign exchange......just had a brainfart.....lol...luckily I only bought 100 shares.
