New Visual Appoints Seasoned Telecom Technology Expert To Corporate Advisory Board

Dr. David J. Greaves of Cambridge's Distinguished Computer Lab To Help Advance Cu@OCx Technology

SAN DIEGO - Aug. 27, 2001 - New Visual Corporation (OTCBB:NVEI) today announced the appointment of Dr. David J. Greaves, MIEE, to the company's corporate advisory board. Greaves, who is a lecturer at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom in the school's Computer Laboratory, will provide guidance in the research, development, and deployment of the company's Cu@OCx technology. This news follows a recent announcement that New Visual will sponsor a studentship for a researcher at the institution.
"I welcome the opportunity to work with New Visual, its technical team, and its management," said Dr. David Greaves of Cambridge University. "I am delighted to work with the talented team New Visual has assembled and look forward to the completion and commercialization of this exciting technology."

In addition to his work at the University of Cambridge, Dr. Greaves is a founder of Virata Corporation, a leading supplier of ASICs and software for DSL applications. In his current work, Dr. Greaves is investigating the integration of media-access control and VDSL modem design for high-performance networking over home phone wiring within the home.

His early work in the development of asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) technology outside the core network earned him worldwide acclaim as a leading authority in telecommunications. Through his affiliation with Cambridge and unparalleled work as a practical engineer, Dr. Greaves has the distinct honor of working with many of the world's leading technology companies, including AT&T, BT (British Telecom) and Microsoft. In addition, he has designed many systems and ASICs that are in wide use throughout the world.

"We are honored to name Dr. Greaves to our corporate advisory board," said Ray Willenberg Jr., president and CEO of New Visual Corporation. "His guidance will continue to prove invaluable as we move forward with the development of our technology. That New Visual is able to attract such high caliber thought leaders further validates our belief in the potential of this technology and our business interest in this field."

Formed in October of 2000, the corporate advisory board was created to assist New Visual's management team and its board of directors in evaluating commercial applications and mass-market opportunities for its Cu@OCx broadband technology. As the company expands, New Visual seeks to add advisory board members with expertise in the areas of broadband access technology, chip design and manufacturing, hi-tech marketing, and channel development. Dr. Henry Beck, a leading attorney for the business and IT communities, was the advisory board's founding member and currently serves as advisory board chairman. Dr. Greaves joins Drs. Henry Beck, Michael Propp, Kenneth Rubinson, and Mr. Arthur Iger as New Visual advisory board members.
