TIRANA, September 28/ATSH/ Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku confirmed today that the work on the construction of the Skavica HPP is progressing.
Balluku held a meeting today with representatives of the "Bechtel" company, who presented the progress report on the most important project of the Albanian government in the energy sector. The US ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, was also present at the meeting.
Balluku said that "a serious and voluminous work has been carried out with details on the technical, financial aspects and the environmental impact on which the most feasible variant for the construction of this HPP will be determined".
"Skavica is one of the most strategic investments with direct benefits in the energy sector, but also for employment, tourism and the development of the country's economy as a whole", said Balluku.
