Price/Rama: Winter is a big challenge, step by step we will see how we will act. The biggest question mark is whether we will have electricity
Sep 28, 2022 | 13:06

Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that the government will continue to subsidize the difference in the price of electricity for families and small businesses.

Rama said that winter is a very big challenge and that the biggest question is whether there will be electricity, not the price, how much it will reach.

Edi Rama: It is important to keep in mind that at the same time we will do our best to keep the price of electricity for families and small businesses intact.

I have said it and I repeat it, time will tell if this courage will be rewarded with success, due to keeping the difference under control with subsidies, inflation is a little less severe and painful than in other countries of the region.

As you have seen everywhere countries have entered the trajectory of increasing prices and restrictions. We neither want to increase the price nor have restrictions.

Winter is a big challenge, but step by step we will see how we will act, staying until the end of the principle of not affecting the price of energy for families and businesses.

We will also see consumption, more precisely saving, and for this reason I want to call on everyone to join the mindset of this situation to save.
Not just that we pay less from the budget of the family or institutions, but we have more energy.

That the biggest question is not how much the price will go, but whether there will be energy.
