Grasp the Truth – While it is Still Light Outside

Jesus told His disciples, “We must do the works of Him who sent Me while it is day. Night is coming when no one can work.” ~ John 9:4

For many of us, we wait for almost our entire life (light/day) before realizing the Truth – whether the Truth was hidden from view by deceptive measures, or we intentionally ran away from it. For whatever the reason(s) are – somewhere along the way, we missed it. But we have a Creator that knit us together in our Mother’s womb, and has given to us each new day, and faithfully pursued us in order to show us the Truth that sets us free from the bondage of sin, and the eternal death sentence that we were born into.

Why does He do this? Because He loves us that much!

“For God loved the world so much, that He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” ~ John 3:16

“The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.” ~ 2 Peter 3:9

Although the Lord faithfully pursues us with the life-changing Truth of His Word – He still gives us the free-will to either accept the Truth and walk in it, or to accept/reject the Truth and not walk in it. It’s not enough to accept the Truth, and then not walk in it. The churches of today are full and overflowing of these types of people.

“Jesus replied. “I was born for this, and I have come into the world for this: to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to My voice.” ~ John 18:37

The only place that the Truth is found is in the Bible. And people have no excuse for not understanding the Truth. The Bible is the number #1 best selling book ever penned. It’s been translated into virtually every known language. There are even modern versions that more accurately translate the ancient Hebrew or Greek words in a more understandable writing.

Jesus bestowing wisdom upon us concerning the Truth of His Words:

“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible person who built their house on the rock. The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of Mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish person who built their house on the sand. The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. And great was its collapse!” ~ Matthew 7:24-27

So, the question today is: What are you going to do with the Truth of God’s Word?

Please don’t wait your entire life to pursue the Truth and walk in it. After all, we are not guaranteed another day, or minute, of life’s precious breath upon this earth.
