Fortunately there are zero studies that show that but I would never say anything is impossible and it could explain why the most severe patients didn't show improvement last time as they would have been on memantine the longest. For all we know even those patients may could show improvement with a second cycle of the drug and at some point we may notice that. What there have been is multiple anecdotal reports that show it might take longer than a few weeks to completely rebound from the memantine "effect" and that's why I think the current trial could be even more successful than would be expected based on previous 13 week trials.
