A new hydroelectric dam on the Colorado river is not new. This has been discussed at length but Arizona may not agree. This was at one time a good approach but may have been put off too long to make a difference.

Diablo Canyon nuke plant goes off line in the next two years. The proposed extension to their license was withdrawn. There is a logical common sense solution in that Peabody could construct coal fired plants in California where coal could be brought in by rail. This would be a timely solution to the upcoming blackouts and provide the ability to charge our EVs.

Many of my friends and neighbors are concerned about perishable food in refrigerators and freezers surviving the blackouts. Where will we get replacement food if the stores have the same problem. It's hard to decide what our family can do to survive. We hope a company like Peabody can provide a solution.
