You give MMs too much credit in this case (notice I said in this case as I do agree with in general).....the CDers are in control here...they only lose control when they sell beyond their daily limits

If the CDer has the diluted shares at Wilson Davis or Alpine, they can only sell 30% of the avg vol of the last 30 trading which is why you generally see a drop in bidwhacks at the end of the day and WD does not allow trading in the 15 minutes of the trading for CDers...

You throw in some bad MM behavior and green days like this can be rare but nonetheless, a good way to into the weekend
