I think there’s a funny guy on one of the common investor social sites that keeps Posting clown GIF all the time.
I know I for one would like to hear a lot more sources from New Zealanders that have actually visited or know about these Epiphany cafes so they can tell us just how bad they really are. Turns out I have a good Samoan friend whose sister lives in New Zealand. He assures me she’s been to all 3000 cafes and donut shops. She’s also fairly sure that a cousin pf her bosses mother has said at some point in the past how horrible Epiphany cafe is. The four-star ratings of the larger stores mean nothing.
Of course the other very disturbing revelation about Epiphany is that it is obvio)us they are moving away from larger independent store setups and moving to kiosk, partial store set ups or selling agreements with current food operations.
Apparently this is more in line with the way that Big Lous Markets and distributes its product. It’s also the preferred method of Krispy Kreme who rarely has large single store operations.
Now some of you may THINK This is a smart move in order to cut down overhead and have a lot more locations focused on getting out more quantity then focusing on the frillies of a fancy store. I know others here would agree with me that that's not the best way to go. Who cares about focusing on long term cost cutting and increasing sales volume, I mean we want a bunch of fancy stores to put on Epiphanys brochures…Isn’t that what’s important?
