Whatever disclaimers they place on their website they are still open to lawsuits if they post blatantly untrue information about a company in spite of the company making attempts to correct the information. The author’s article made a claim and retracted it. People just don’t do that without very compelling reasons.

Like I said, this could still be a phenomenal merger depending on the actual merging company.
