how about that good ole low-tech ingenuity?
granted, below was posted in Oct. of 2006, before the current PR and website improvements. I like the fact that the 16-yr old knew about the product ;)

Q: greetings crystal, my 16 yr. old daughter has asked if i would buy her some jeans that feature song lyrics (hence, the company products' name: lyric culture) of recording artists for certain record labels; provided her choice of artist(s) record on the given labels and the desired song(s) is available. i have searched for information about the company and its products, but haven't been very successful. i did find some web articles of fashion model brooke burke and singer kelly clarkson promoting the product. can you possibly share any information that you might have regarding Lyric Culture. i have visited a number of sites hoping to post this inquiry. yours is the few that i've found to offer a means to submit a question. the others tend to feature non-repliable questions and answers. are you aware of the company, and what is your impression of this fashion idea? thank you in advance for any assistance that you might provide.

A: I found Lyric Culture’s Web site: www.lyricjeans.com; (866-902-7664). I called twice and sent two e-mails but didn’t get any response. There’s a link to the brand’s “e-store,” which seems to be the only retail outlet at the moment. Don’t see any jeans but the leather wrap skirt with “Let It Be” lyrics is $325. T-shirts are $85 each. So my guess is the jeans won’t be inexpensive. While I’m sure lots of work goes into Lyric Culture jeans, this reminds me of what the cool kids did with a Sharpie during my college days. I bet if you found someone handy with a Sharpie (they come all kinds of funky hues these days, including metallics) or a fabric paint pen, she/he could produce a similar result. I’d have them practice on an old pair of jeans.
