Simply stating "private funding" sounds good until you are told the terms.

When a company can't get a bank to give you a loan (wait, wasn't bank financing mentioned earlier?) the only alternative is private funding. Terms for payback are either cash or shares.

Do you know what qualifies as private funding? Death spiral financing.

You can lead a horse to water. But you can't make him get down on one knee and do an Al Jolson impression!
