Structural Health Monitoring continues to build momentum, the original contract extension announced with DOT in the first quarter generated the revenue for this quarter. We can take that number in the recent filings (revenue plus accounts receivable) and extrapolate to a close estimate what ITOX is making per bridge that they are monitoring. Note that we don’t know what type of payer the DOT is, ie they could be Net 60 or 90 days which means some of the revenue is still out - so we will take the most conservative estimate which would be to assume ALL revenue is already accounted for and none is still yet to be paid for the quarter.
We take $27,780 in accounts receivable and add $16,500 = $44,280. Then we divide this by 3 bridges which brings us to $14,760 per bridge per quarter. Divide this again by 3 and we get $4,920 per bridge per month.
Now consider the recent passing of the Infrastructure Bill dedication BILLIONS to bridges.
The company references a Northeast DOT. Let’s speculate that because the company is located in Massachusetts that it is referring to the Massachusetts DOT and take into account that Massachusetts has about 5,245 bridges, 4718 have been identified as in need of repairs and 644 bridges deemed ‘structurally deficient’.
https://www.masslive.com/news/2022/08/report-deems-644-massachusetts-bridges-structurally-deficient.html
644 of the bridges are structurally deficient.
One single state DOT like Massachusetts could mean huge windfall potential. Let’s say ITOX added just 10% of those 644 bridges, now u have 64 Bridges x 4920 (assuming an average monitoring cost per bridge). 64 x 4,920 = $314,880 per month, or $3,778,560 per year.
Now if they give ITOX 64 bridges, why not the rest? 644 bridges in one state would equal $38,021,760 million in annual revenue.
And this is just for 1 State’s DOT!! You should understand that once you are in 1 DOT then you are well positioned to get other DOT's on board as you are viewed as a preferred and vetted vendor.
