It may well be that shareholders in the case could come out okay, depending on their basis. The issue will be how much per share the stalking horse buyer is willing to pay. Yesterday some buyer thought over $0.50 would turn them a profit. Remember that the current CEO and many other insiders hold massive amounts of shares and so they have an interest in protecting shareholder value as much as possible.

Chapter 11 bankruptcy has not always been the kiss of death for shareholders.

Anybody who spent money they couldn't afford to lose on shares since Willis left did not use their heads. It was going to be a moon shot any way it unfolded. It may turn out to be a good investment yet.
