On August 24, a settlement agreement was reached with USCIS and EB-5 Regional Centers that will define the path forward for the restart of the EB-5 Regional Center Program.
One key requirement of the settlement is that all previously authorized EB-5 Regional Centers will be required to file a Form I-956 amendment and pay the associated $18K filing fee by December 29, 2022, if they wish to continue to sponsor new EB-5 projects and investors.
Additionally, Regional Centers will now only need to wait 10 days after filing a Form I-956F project “exemplar” prior to accepting new EB-5 investors.
