The new ambassador of the EU, Christiane Hohmann, within the framework of the ceremony held in honor of the European champion Luiza Gega, met the country's prime minister Edi Rama yesterday. Their exchange was for the first time in person even though Hohmann wished Albania's opening of negotiations on the road to the European Union. The ambassador emphasized that the EU is committed to supporting Albania in the key areas of energy and key infrastructure for its citizens and Albania's integration into the EU. "Good first meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku on EU-Albania cooperation in the key areas of energy and infrastructure development. The EU is committed to supporting Albania in these key areas for its citizens and Albania's integration into the EU," said EU ambassador Christiane Hohmann, in a post on social networks. Through a post on the Twitter platform, the ambassador also shared her satisfaction with the meeting between the European champion Luiza Gega and the head of the government. "Delighted to meet Prime Minister Rama for our first exchange about the important new phase in Albania's EU membership process with the opening of membership talks. The EU will support Albania every step of the way. Honored to have the opportunity to meet the European champion Luiza Gega during her award ceremony. An excellent example of what Albanians can achieve in Europe with dedication and hard work", writes the ambassador. We remind you that Christiane Hohmann started her diplomatic mission in our country this year as the successor of Luigi Soreca.
