tax attorneys anger the auditor more than a good accountant does
that's familiar with the IRS agent........
and the accountant is cheaper........
again......from experience..........
Here's another example in REAL LIFE with registered Republicans
they had a business and did everything right
the auditor couldn't find anything wrong
the accountant had done their job right
except for one small thing
they hadn't paid sales tax on the magazines in their showroom
the auditor hit them for it, and then tacked on penalties and interest
to the tune of around $1200....OH they were pissed!!!
The accountant advised it would only get worse- to pay it
the auditor want their pound of flesh
They told the accountant NO, they were going to fight it
they fired the accountant and hired a really expensive TAX ATTORNEY
with an excellent reputation and highly recommended
The auditor came back with $2400....the people got even more pissed told the Tax Attorney to fight
even though He recommended they pay it
the auditor came back with $7800 after the rejection
the people were screaming mad....
The Tax attorney said you can't beat them without spending a lot more
They refused and said FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
Next offer to settle from the auditor was around $10k...
again....fight fight fight.....$11,800......said the auditor
who just kept disallowing legitimate business expenses
and building the "tax debt owed" bigger
The Tax Attorney wanted up front $50k to take it to court and said he could guarantee they would win
and their bill with him was quite stiff at this point -like $6800
They folded.......paid the $11,800....paid the Tax Attorney off
and then bad mouthed the accountant saying it was her fault
it wasn't.....they fat little POS auditor got pissed when he had to deal with a TAX Attorney
and showed them he knew how to screw them over....
So Tax Attorney away......This happened in real life in rural America
while Obama was still in office and a Dem controlled state
This is something that actually happened.......
as I said
The accountant is doing well, the client's business survived.
But it probably wouldn't have had they spent the $50k and won.
EXPERIENCE teaches what is REAL.
This is exactly what will happen with 87,000 new IRS employees ONLY MUCH MUCH WORSE
