ok, i called them (tda) and here is what they told me. and they will confirm it in an email.

all of the dates have changed per the nyse as of last week. today is not the date of record and no one is getting ape shares on friday. it will all happen next week.

Regarding the AMC spin off, the company's declared record date was 08/15/2022, but the Exchange set the ex-date as 08/22/2022, the next business day 08/23/2022 became the NEW record date. This NEW record date 08/23/2022 is the due bill redemption date and it OVERRIDES the company record date of 08/15/2022. The anticipated swing date will be 08/24/2022. no, according to amc i should have my APE shares in my accounts on 8-19-22. they did not change to a NEW record date. i am expecting my APE shares this friday because they will be trading on 8-22-22. send me where amc changed their dates.
