The very same thing is happening on my other play $HVCW. Unlike Mullen Automotive, this one was an empty shell ticker that just had a very large 23 million Revenue generating business reverse merge into the shell last week. So the stock no longer has any sell pressure from it's previous owner/dilutor Jeffrey Canouse. It is in the solar, Alternative Energy sector and should benefit from the passage of the bill on Friday which gets signed by President Biden this week. Most of the alternative energy, electric vehicle stocks should get a pretty decent move this coming week. So we will see what happens with Mullen. The similarities between the two are basically that they both need an elevated share price in order for management to perform Capital raises. You can't perform a capital raise at such a low price because you could force the shares to go down to zero so a pump has to be created to stimulate high enough volume to raise the price per share so that dilution can occur without negatively impacting the share price
