Fake press releases are used to pump up asset prices. Traditionally, these have focused on stocks. For example, fraudsters such as Stuart Burchill will pay "press release" companies to issue official looking and completely false press releases about product announcements or imaginary sales.
An easy way to spot press releases is to see if the information provided in the press release can be verified at any reputable source. In the case of Lowe's, you will see that it is only Stuart that is claiming these imaginary sales.
Also, you can google Industrial Nanotech press release and you will see a consistent record of fake press releases.
Stuart Burchill is the Loki of the OTC!
