I noticed they didn't provide total number of printers shipped/customer concentration data this quarter. I'm glad someone asked about it in the q&a. Benny's answer was interesting. Kinda the first time it has felt like he's bullshitting. Don't get me wrong, it's fair to hide sales price of printers from competition (this could be estimated pretty easily using the total shipment #s) but it's contradictory to previous statements and exposes some weakness. I thought velo3d didn't have competition? The problem is vld printers are more expensive than other PBF printers. Customers are definitely willing to pay a premium for vld's superior capabilities, but if you can build the part you need using cheaper PBF printers, then vld's premium cost is unnecessary. So vld does have serious competition when it comes to more basic designs, and the price of vld printers being public allows competitors to more effectively market themselves/undercut vld. This is just my opinion.
