Old way? Go look at the guys Facebook page. All he does is fashion shows and sales online.
If you look at the first few posts you can see his shoe line went to a show, then was in hype magazine and they are taking pre-orders a week later.
The "summer" shoe line was released in February following the show.
Old or new there is really only one why to make custom fashions and preproduction of 500 shirts is not how it's done.

You can go to the guys web page and you will see you can't buy anything he produces. If you want something you order it and every product says..."Special Orders like this product may take up-to 60 BUSINESS DAYS to produce before shipping."

They are not sitting on a single shirt. There will be no huge production. Launch will follow the spring or summer fashion show after they have a range of products to display. Sales will be online only.

FYI sericulture is farming not animal husbandry.
Farming is production of a living thing as a resource.
Our farmers are not animal husbands or botinists. They are farmers. They farm animals and plants.
The husbandry is done by prodigy.
The places the worms are grown are called a silk farm.
