so according to their written response I interpret that you will get the APE share as of Aug 19 which is ex dividend date based on number of AMC shares you have in your acct at that time..(date of record IMO Aug 12 is meanless).......computershare is the transfer agent for AMC but they transfer to DTC who inturn distributes to brokerage such as TDA, Fidelity etc etc......that is my understanding based on what you posted....thank you.....
