There's a new disease in town...let the nonsense begin!
Brilacidin has not been tested for its safety and efficacy against monkeypox....not even in a petri dish.
From the same source that I thought was reasonable in saying this yesterday....
"Hope IPIX doesn't spend a dime for this "pandemic", especially when it only affects a specific group of the population..."
....we now hear this....
"I believe Brilacidin by now is recognized by the medical authorities to be a safe drug if given at not too high a dosage. Since it was given for Covid under Compassionate Use, why not make it also available for monkeypox under the same restrictions as for Covid?"
...or maybe they could try chocolate milk? It meets that same safety standard.

And it's not just message board nonsense....the media shows its ignorance as well (compliments of Preciouslife1):
https://nypost.com/2022/08/05/nyc-doc-captain-who-works-on-rikers-island-contracts-monkeypox/
"It’s not immediately clear when the captain contracted the virus but at the time they did, they were working inside one of the DOC’s jails, sources said."
They don't know when he got it but they know where he was when he did. A very special shout out to Gabrielle Fonrouge of the NY Post for that particular lack of logic.

But back to message board nonsense:
"Corrections officers in New York have monkeypox. They did not get it from the inmates — they are concerned that the inmates have been infected by the corrections officers.
It’s doubtful that those corrections officers infected each other with gay sex."

We're very early into this new disease and it has already affected the minds of certain elements of the population....

It's morally wrong to allow a sucker to keep his money.
